  • Was a Gold Medalist in the M.D. Exam of Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Bangalore University.
  • Has performed more than 3000 Advanced Video laparoscopic surgeries for gynaecological disorders and have been a pioneer in many of these procedures in the State of Karnataka.
  • Has trained several gynaecologists from different parts of the country in laparoscopic surgery at Bangalore Endoscopic Surgery Training Institute.
  • Has started Yoga Therapy Unit at A.V. Hospital for cure of several ailments

Has presented several papers in gynecological conferences and meetings, in local as well as international levels.

Teaching Experience:

Has established the BANGALORE ENDOSCOPIC SURGERY TRAINING INSTITUTE & RESEARCH CENTRE to offer Laparoscopic Surgical skills training to doctors. Has been training several gynecologists at the Institute through intensive courses every 3 months, which include didactic sessions, live operative demonstrations, practical training with pelvitrainers, virtual reality simulators.

The B.E.S.T. Institute & Research Centre has grown to international repute, with several specialists from other countries including Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Dubai, Muscat, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Maldives, United Kingdom, United States of America and Australia, apart from all parts of our country.
This is a unique training facility and the only of its kind in Karnataka State, offering training in both basic and advanced laparoscopic surgeries.

Fellowship in Minimal Invasive Surgery:

Has established the Fellowship in Minimal Invasive Surgery at A.V. Hospital, affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. This is 1 1/2-year fellowship for gynecologists with 3years of post- MD/MS experience. Has also been an examiner for the same.

BSOG PG – CME (2013-17):

The team of BEST Institute & Research center headed by Dr. Saraswathi Ramesh actively conducts workshop for training Postgraduates on Laparoscopy and instils in their mind the interesting field of Laparoscopy.

Interests

Reiki – Has done Master’s Degree in Reiki.
Pranic Healing – Has done Advanced Pranic Healing & Psychotherapy Course.
Sanskrit – Has completed Pravesha & Parichaya Exam in Sanskrit, conducted by “Aksharam”.
Social Work – Is involved with the medical activities of the Ramakrishna Ashram, Shivanahalli, and has been attending their medical clinics at Shivanahalli regularly since 1995. Has been involved in many other free medical check-up programs conducted by several organizations including Lions, Rotary, Theosophical Society, Rashtrothana and various educational institutions.
Public Education – Has been giving several public talks in schools, colleges, clubs, societies and other institutions. Has been participating in several radio and TV programs on health related topics since 2002.
